Access Advertising & Public Relations Wins Four Summit Awards for Public Relations Excellence

Blue Ridge PRSA Summits awarded at gala Nov. 18

ROANOKE (Nov. 19, 2010)— Access Advertising & Public Relations received four Summit Awards at last night’s Blue Ridge Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Summit Awards Gala. The Summit Awards recognize the best in public relations and communications efforts by professional public relations practitioners in Southwest Virginia. The entries, judged by the Rochester, N.Y. PRSA Chapter, were evaluated in four areas: Research, Planning, Execution and Evaluation. Access received awards in the following categories on behalf of its clients:

  • Gold – Exhibits & Tradeshows, Average Budget – PixelOptics, Inc. Vision Expo East Press Conference
  • Silver – Website Development, Average Budget – Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay website
  • Silver – Interactive/Audio Visual, Modest Budget – Carpet Factory Outlet “Back to the Future”: 30-second Television Spot
  • Silver – PR Campaigns, Modest Budget – Roanoke College Children’s Choir Audition Campaign

The City of Roanoke was also recognized with a Gold Summit Award in the Publications category for its municipal calendar which Access designed. PRSA is the world’s largest association of public relations professionals. The society’s members represent business and industry, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional service firms and nonprofit organizations.
